Last Saturday, the Northgate Basketball teams hosted former region foe and nearby Creekside Seminoles. The Lady Vikings hosting the #9 ranked (MaxPreps Class 5A) Lady Noles, and the Northgate Boys facing off against a Creekside team who has found only one win this season, playing a very tough region schedule that includes two current top-10 teams for Class 5A.

DeAsia Stinson was kept quieter than usual by the elite Noles defense, but still grabbed 12 points. Holly Metz had a couple buckets and a free throw of her own to add 5 points to the score.
The boys’ game saw an offensive shootout with a game that came down to the final minutes. The Vikings trailed after the first quarter butcame out in the second with an explosive 27 point quarter. The Noles kept up offensively, but were unable to overcome the lead that Northgate had cushioned themselves upon.
